Social Hype
Social media, Social networking, Social CRM... Are all these terms just hype? Or actually not? It is a fact that these terms are becoming more popular by the day. Just read the many news articles, trade journals or websites of CRM suppliers regarding the ‘Social…’ phenomenon.
Is it just hype? We at CRMWaypoint don’t think so, and among a large number of our customers we see useful business applications for the integration of Social networking platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter as part of a CRM solution. And of course all kinds of applications ‘in the Cloud’. That is why we are enthusiastic about how salesforce.com, the market leader in the field of CRM, has integrated these Social networking platforms into its CRM solutions to support processes for Sales, Service and Marketing. For example, Twitter has been fully integrated with salesforce.com since 2009 and we have succeeded in achieving the necessary business advantages with this, both for our customers and ourselves internally.
